What Happens If You Clear Cache on Telegram?
Before moving to our main topic, it is necessary to know what will happen when you clear the Telegram cache.
Does it affect your Telegram using experience? Is it good to delete the cache of the Telegram app?
Well, as I mentioned above, removing Telegram cache files is simply erasing old duplicate media files from your device.
By doing this, you will have more storage space on your device. You can still view the media files, such as videos, photos, and voice messages you receive or send.
In case you lose your social media files or data, then you can re-download it from the Telegram cloud.
This is rare that users lose their data or information after deleting cache files.
I personally also have removed around 2 GB of Telegram cache files after 4 months of using it.
This happens only in my case; it can differ from user to user.
The more you share media files, the more likely you will store the cache on Telegram.
How to Delete Telegram Cache Files?
Telegram has a different section for its cache files.
This means even though you remove the cache of Telegram, and it won’t delete your app login credentials or chat messages.

So, deleting the cache of Telegram is simple, secure as well as fast, which you can do from any device you want. However, you may have to go through slightly different steps.
But don’t worry, you will find all the steps in this article.
Tip: If your device storage is in a tight condition, which means even though clearing the cache won’t help that much to free your storage, then you can shift your Telegram app to external memory.
This means changing Telegram’s default storage to an SD card. Doing this will help you to free up storage. But it doesn’t mean that you don’t need to clear the cache. You will have even more storage to download movies on Telegram and other content.
