Why Is Pubg Mobile Banned In India Including 117 Other Chinese Apps?

In the border dispute between China and India, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in Ladakh. After the incident, India banned around 60 Chinese apps, and this time India decide to ban 118 apps, including Pubg Mobile and Pubg Lite, but the reason behind this ban is different.

In the official press release, The Ministry of Information and Technology announced that the 118 Chinese apps had been banned under section 69A of the IT act 2009.

The Ministry of Information and Technology also said that 118 apps are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of the state, and public order. And they have received many complaints against social apps from various security departments, including several reports and posts about the misuse,  stealing, and transmitting user data outside of India.

And cybercrime also requested to ban these apps; after seeing all the reports, and the request, The Ministry of Information and Technology decided to ban Pubg Mobile and 117 other apps on 2nd September 2020.
