In simple words, two-factor authentication is a security measure that adds an extra layer of security over your account password. After you successfully verify your email address and password, you will need to verify it’s you who is trying to log into your account. For this, you will have to physically verify your account. Physically in a sense that, you will have to enter the code that will be sent to your registered phone number.

Therefore, even if you have entered your email address/username and password, to get into your account you yourself need to give in the login code to the twitter login form. So, the two-factor authentication can be called as a physical security key for your twitter account.

Enough with the descriptions, now let’s get to our main topic “how to enable two-factor authentication for twitter.” There are two ways that you can follow to activate two-factor verification in your twitter account.
